The Jefferson Parish Public School System is currently accepting applications to its Magnet Schools.

The JPPSS Magnet School series contains four major programs of: Montessori, Arts, Language Immersion, and International Baccalaureate (IBO). The Jefferson Parish Public Magnet Schools are located on the eastbank and westbank of the parish.
Applications will be accepted – through hand delivery ONLY - from March 24, 2011 through June 14, 2011, at each magnet school between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. From June 15, 2011 to July 15, 2011, magnet school applications must be submitted to the school system’s Compliance Office at 1901 Manhattan Blvd, Suite A-201 in Harvey, by 2:00 p.m. daily.

Applications may be downloaded from the JPPSS homepage, www.jppss.k12.la.us, each magnet school’s website, or picked up at 501 Manhattan Blvd., Harvey, beginning Monday, March 29, 2011. ( Students who reside outside of Jefferson Parish will no longer be accepted into any JPPSS school.) Each application must also be accompanied by a Transfer Form in order for the school system to remain in compliance with the Dandridge Court Order.
