Title I Teacher Tuition Reimbursement
Tuition reimbursement is available for teachers who are enrolled in continuing education and for Praxis fees. Guidelines for reimbursement are as follows:
FUNDING PRIORITIES
- Courses to acquire HQ (Highly Qualified) status in core academic subjects
- Courses to acquire certification in areas of critical need
- Courses for non-certified teachers related to content area
- Praxis in elementary or core academic subjects in any organizational level
GUIDELINES
Teachers are required to complete and pass courses with a “C” or better. In the event one does not earn a “C” or better, tuition reimbursement will not be remitted to the teacher. A prescription for courses required to complete the certification must be submitted with the application.
The deadlines for receipt of grades and fee bills for current employees for tuition reimbursement from all colleges are:
- Fall 2011: December 16, 2011
- Spring 2012: May 18, 2012
- Summer 2012: August 24, 2012
The fee bill must be an original itemized detailed invoice with a zero balance.
