Biography

Sandy Denapolis-Bosarge attended Dominican High School where she was a member of many clubs including National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, also a cheerleader for Dominican and Brother Martin High School, Graduated Summa Cum Laude (3rd in class).

Received Decennial Academic Scholarship to the University of New Orleans, where she was a UNO cheerleader and served as President of Alpha Lambda Delta Freshmen Honor Society. Also had the distinction of being in the top 5% of the Junior class in the College of Sciences, and inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Received Nursing Degrees from the Louisiana State University School of Allied Health where she graduated Cum Laude (5th in class).

After passing the Nursing Boards, Sandy worked as a Registered Nurse at Hotel Dieu Hospital in New Orleans, then for Medical Center of Louisiana aka Charity Hospital until Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. 

Since then, Sandy has been on disability retirement for Multiple Sclerosis.  In 2010, she started her own company Medical Appointment Specialists LLC, and is still involved in the medical field by making Pediatric Medicaid KidMed appointments. 

In October 2011, Sandy was elected to the Jefferson Parish School Board as the District IX representative.  She serves as chairman of the Academic Affairs Committee and is a member of the Insurance Committee.

 Sandy is happily married to Dexter Bosarge, and the proud mother  of two daughters, and even prouder grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters.
